BE FRUITFUL, MULTIPLY, FILL,
SUBDUE YOUR ENEMIES AND TAKE DOMINION
I sense that God's prophetic word to our Rising Movement this year is, "Be
fruitful, multiply, fill, subdue your enemies and have dominion” (Gen
1:28). God has given us a clear, 2020 VISION to see our GC2 strategy
statement: Obey the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
However, our vision must be empowered by radical prayer.
I believe the Lord is encouraging us through the parables of the mustard
seed and the leaven (Mt 13:31-33) to see the worldwide advance of the
Kingdom. My expanded translation of Matthew 11:12 captures God’s
encouragement to us as it says, “From the days of John the Baptist until
now, the Kingdom of Heaven is triumphantly advancing. Now is the time
for forceful people, courageous souls, to lay hold of it with burning zeal."
Jesus said, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any
means hurt you" (Luke 10:19). God is calling His Beautiful Bride
—worldwide—to rise up in faith and use our authority to bind the evil spirits
and set captives free.
Larry Lea says, "The devil's work is to blind the minds of men and women. It
is our work to pray that the powers of darkness be pushed back from
shrouding people's minds. Until we do the prayer work necessary to defeat
the forces of the enemy holding people in darkness, Satan's blinders will remain."
Peter Wagner wrote an article on the key dynamic he discovered in his
studies on the revival in Argentina. I have traveled to Argentina twice with
Peter and Ed Silvoso and can attest to the following insight.
Peter reports, “One of today's most knowledgeable Argentine leaders is
Edgardo Silvoso of Harvest Evangelism based in San Jose, California. Silvoso
did a workshop at Lausanne II in Manila in 1989 on spiritual warfare in Argentina."
“There he said, ‘If there is one dominant element that has emerged in the
theology and methodology of evangelism in Argentina, I would say it is
spiritual warfare. It is an awareness that the struggle is not against a
political or a social system. Nor is it on behalf of those who are captives, but
it is rather against the jail keepers, against the rulers, those in authority in
the spiritual realm.’"
“Silvoso contends that understanding this allows Argentine evangelists to
get to the root of the problem instead of dealing merely with symptoms. He
suggests that the results validate this approach.”
In his book, Evangelism by Fire, Reinhardt Bonnke furthers God’s call on our
Rising Movement to engage in radical, authorative prayer as he writes, “I am
fully persuaded that God allows us to pull the trigger for mighty outpourings
of His Holy Spirit” (p 204). He gives us 7 steps to success in bringing in a
supernatural harvest. They are:
1. Realize our greatness is in God: “WITH GOD all things are possible”
(Mt 19:26).
2. All of God’s promises that were made to others become ours by
faith: “You shall give this people possession of the land WHICH I
SWORE TO THEIR FATHERS to bring them in” (Josh 1:6).
3. Get a vision of what you should do for God, then work to bring it
about: Our 2020 VISION is to nurture a simple church multiplication
movement starting in Glendora that will launch similar movements in
100 cities around the world. In Acts 20:20, 27 Paul explains his part in
the church multiplication movement at Ephesus, “I did not shrink back
from declaring to you the whole purpose of God and anything that was
profitable to you, teaching you publicly and from house to house.”
4. Go forth knowing God is with you as much as He was with anybody:
“No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. JUST
AS I HAVE BEEN WITH MOSES, I WILL BE WITH YOU. I will not
fail you or forsake you” (Josh 1:5).
5. Be bold in Christ: “Lord, take note of their threats and grant that
your bond-servants may speak Your word with all boldness while You
extend your hand to heal, with signs and wonders take place through
the name of Your holy servant Jesus. And WHEN THEY PRAYED, the
place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all
filled with the Holy Spirit, and BEGAN TO SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD
WILL BOLDNESS” (Acts 4:29-31).
6. Confess the Word: “This book of the law shall not depart from your
mouth” (Josh 1:8). What we say is what we will see. We wil not beg God,
we will believe God. We will confess His word. And not being weak in
faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was
about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did
not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was
strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced
that what He had promised He was also able to perform” (Rom 4:19-21).
7. Go in now and take the land: “The people shouted with a great shout,
and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city,
every man straight ahead, AND THEY TOOK THE CITY” (Josh 6:20).
What do you say? Are you willing to rise up and pray longer and harder than
ever before in your life? Will you stand with Sue and I and lay hold of God's
prophetic word to our Rising Movement to "Be fruitful, multiply, fill,
subdue your enemies and have dominion” (Gen 1:28)?
If deep in your spirit you are hearing a “YES LORD,” then I want to ask you
to plan on praying together with our group at the “Azusa, Now” event at the
LA Coliseum on April 9. Register today.
I believe this will be a milestone as the Lord releases His fresh
anointing on our Rising leadership team. He will empower us to go preach
the gospel with signs and wonders following. He will empower us to lead
hundred to become dynamic disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ who will
then multiply disciples for the rest of their lives. He will empower us to
realize our 2020 Vision, that our Rising church planting movement that
will nurture 100 other movements in Los Angeles, Bangkok and other
cities around the world!
